Evaluation Criteria
The second step of the review identifies the system’s top quality attributes and defines their target levels.

Quality Attributes
Quality requirements are crucial in any serious software review. That’s why LASR focuses on the top 3–5 quality attributes that serve as benchmarks for evaluating the system
Top-5 Challenger
The 3-5 key quality attributes can be effectively identified by using the quality attribute cards from the LASR card deck. A simple moderation method, the Top-5 Challenger, helps facilitate this selection process.
Enter: Spider Chart
Each selected quality attribute is assigned an axis in a spider chart, forming the skeleton of the ‘LASR result diagram’. The axis labels shown on the right are examples.
Quantifying Quality Objectives
The expected target levels for each quality attribute are mapped onto the axes of the spider chart, ranging from low to the highest possible expectations.
The Green Line
The quantified objectives are connected to form a green line in the LASR result diagram: the target line. In the following LASR steps, the system is evaluated against this line to identify gaps.
